14th March to 24th March - Falmouth Spring Festival - A programme of activities which takes place throughout the two weeks in Falmouth, including the Spring Flower Show at the Princess Pavilion.

6th to 7th April - Cornwall Garden Society Spring Flower Show.  This is just a fabulous day for all you garden and plant lovers.  This year the Show is to be held at the Royal Cornwall Showground in Wadebridge.

8th May - Helston Flora is held on this day every year and is a very old and traditional festival, when the town of Helston is decorated and a posy of bluebells is worn by the townsfolk.  The adults take part in the mid-day dance, while the children's dance goes in and out of the shops and houses, part of a ritual of Spring.  Helston is only a 20 minute drive from Bosilliac.

6th, 7th and 8th June - Royal Cornwall Agricultural Show is held at their own showground at Wadebridge.  Thousands of people attend this great traditional three day show.  If you like animals then it is the place to go and there is just everything else as well.  A large number of the organizations and businesses in Cornwall take a stand there.  As it is a Royal show, someone from the Royal Family attends on the first day each year.

14th to 16th June - Falmouth International Sea Shanty Festival has become more and more popular each year and is great fun.  It's held in Events Square in Falmouth and in other venues in the town over the 3 days when choirs sing traditional sea shanties.

15th July - Stithians Show is held on a Monday in July every year and is a very long established agricultural show.  I have included it because it is the largest one day show in Cornwall and is just a 10 minute drive from Bosilliac.  You will find such a lot to interest you and it is nice to sit and eat an ice cream and watch the horses do their show jumping.

9th to 18th August - Falmouth Week.  August seems to revolve around the sea and Falmouth holds its annual regatta week during this month, when all our sailing enthusiasts take part in sailing competitions, and have lots of post sailing celebrations in Falmouth.  Falmouth Carnival is part of this weeks events.  On Wednesday 9th August the Red Arrows will put on a fabulous flying display starting at 6.15pm.

10th to 13th October - Falmouth Oyster Festival.  Towards the end of the year we are still very much taken up with the sea.  The Oyster Festival has been running for a few years now and there are some very good chefs in the Falmouth area.  There is usually a tasting organised and sometimes a competition is staged between rival chefs.
